Volume
5
This
is now available.
Daily
Mail
We
have had some good news: Michael
Hellicar from the Daily Mail has
agreed to endorse our books, and has supplied some script to us. The least we can do is to let him have a copy
of Volume 4. Thanks Michael for having faith in us.
Coronation
St
Another
endorsement will come from Betty Turpin (aka Betty Driver) who died some months
ago. She was of course the barmaid in Coronation St, and is still remembered,
not only for her role but her delicious pies.
I
have spoken to both Betty and her sister Freda over the years and was encouraged
by her kind remarks made about the work we were doing with getting these books
out there. Sadly I don’t think she read Volume 4, which was sent to her just
before her death, but she had read and liked the others.
Steve
Franklin
Wayne
our illustrator has been in touch, so we shall be taking up the reins with him
again (his PC went down and he has been ‘out of action’). We would also like to
thank Steven Franklin BA (Hons) for all of his help with illustrations. Steve runs
TOMCAT MEDIA http://www.tomcatmedia.co.uk/ a business specialising in, quote:
“offering a cost effective, professional & friendly
service for the production of promotional video, using broadcast quality
cameras and non-linear computer editing equipment. We specialise in promotional marketing, and are
versatile in all areas of video production.”
Mick Walters We
would also like to thank him for also volunteering to assist us with
illustrations. What a nice man Mick is. We met him and a lady called Brenda at the Weird Weekend. Hope
to see you soon.
Here are some
extracts from what Bob Tibbitts brought over a few days ago.
